What a great place. Just had breakfast there and it was perfect. Great Omelette, great French Toast. Great service. I highly recommend you stop by.

Everything you want in a diner: the crispiest hash browns of your life, super friendly service, and wood paneling. The owner - who is also the baker - made a) me feel right at home and b) a street cleaning announcement so no one got a ticket out front. Go here.

My husband and I tried the breakfast quesadilla and the chilaquiles and they were fantastic! I got the chilaquiles with chorizo and no eggs and they did not disappoint! I think they are one of the best chilaquiles I’ve ever eaten in LA. The people that go to this place have been going for 15 years and I can see why, they feel like family

This was my favorite place back when it was Maxwell's. Quite some time passed but then I saw they reopened under a new name. Today I finally came in and had the same if not better experience than before. I sat at the bar and Ariel, my server, was extremely kind, patient and attentive. The people that come in all know each other by name which reminds me of NY where I'm from which is not easy to find in LA. This is a West-Side staple and I wouldn't hesitate to come grab an amazing breakfast and a cup of coffee.

Great little place! Staff were amazing (thank you so much, lovely lady, for my dog’s first pup cup!). Excellent omelettes and hashbrowns, nice chill atmosphere. 10/10 ????

Best place to start your day in Venice. Small Diner with all the right vibes and traditional American breakfast. I had the 2x2x2 (eggs, bacon, crispy hash browns, French toast) and will need all day to walk that off. Plenty, juicy, American. ????

I've passed by Maxine's and Maxwell's a 1000 times on my way to Costco, I glad I finally stopped by. What a gem, I loved it! The people and food were great

This place is just perfecttttt..... The service is just to good to even describe in a post. The food ohhh godddd..... It's heavenly, Sal is a great person and he will make you feel at home. They're bilingual as well. It's a must... You read me..... A MUST if you are in the LA area......

The only thing the pictures don't tell you is how blessed you'll be by Sal the waiter and his warm, friendly welcome.

Accidentally stumbled upon the place this morning, and were very positively impressed by the food and service. Typical local American diner, very delicious breakfasts, especially pancakes.
